She did her M.Sc. in Physics from Andhra University, Visakhapatnam.
M.Phil. in Solid State Physics from Acharya Nagarjuna University, Guntur.
Ph.D. in Liquid Crystals from Acharya Nagarjuna University, Guntur.
Dr. S Padmaja has 39 years of service as on date starting from the year 1984. And in her
service, she also worked as the Head of the Department for Intermediate Physics,
Degree Physics and Degree Electronics.
She was also selected as Degree Lecturer by the Andhra Pradesh College Service
Commission but chose to continue in SDMSM Junior Kalasala.
As a Subject Expert and Resource Person she gave training to lecturers of Intermediate.

Government of Andhra Pradesh on Teachers’ Day 5
th September 2019.
2. She is the Recipient of Best Teacher Puraskaram from Prajasakhti.
3. She is the Recipient of the “Bharata Ratna – Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam Excellency Award”
from Health Care International, Hyderabad.
4. She is the Recipient of Professional Excellency Award 2019 from the Xray Voluntary
organisation.
5. She is the Recipient of Abdul Kalam Excellency Award 2019 from Prajanestam,
Vijayawada.
6. She is the Recipient of Best Teacher Award 2020 organised by Dr. B.R.
Ambedkar Study Centre, Sri Venkateswara University, Tirupati during the 189th Birth
Anniversary of Savithri Bhai Phule, on 3-1-2020 at Tirupati.
7. She is nominated as the member of Internal Complaint Committee (ICC) of School of
Planning and Architecture, Vijayawada (SPAV).
8. She is the Recipient of Bharata Mahila Shiromani Award from Health Care
International, awarded in March 2020.
9. She is the Recipient of Indian Independence Diamond Jubilee Award on 13-8-2022 in
a function organised in Vijayawada for which the Chief Guest was His Excellency the
Governor of Andhra Pradesh Sri Viswabhushan Harichandan.
As the Principal of Sri Durga Malleswara Siddhartha Mahila Kalasala she received Commendations from the Board of Intermediate Education for getting highest number of admissions and the best results during the years 2017-18 and 2018-19, 2019-20,2020-2021,2021-2022,2022-2023.
She published research papers in National and International research journals.
As Youth Red Cross Coordinator, she organized several service programmes.
She also received commendations from Lions Club, Inner Wheel (Rotary) Club, Heartful
Institute, INSPIRE program of Government of India.
She has been admitting the full strength of students permitted by the BIE and securing
97% result in Senior Intermediate and 96% result in Junior Intermediate. Several of her
students have become Doctors, Engineers and settled in various other jobs.
